When you publish a draft, AdLoft creates campaign, ad set, creative, and ad entities in Meta — all paused. If something goes wrong, here’s how to read and fix it.

Before you can publish

Publishing is blocked unless all of these are true:
  • You’re an owner or admin.
  • Your plan includes Meta publishing (active subscription or trial).
  • The draft is approved (with an approval timestamp when review is required).
  • A connected Meta account with a valid token exists for the destination.
  • The dry run is ready with no blocking errors.
If any fail, the Review step tells you which one.

Dry-run errors

The Debugging & Meta dry run panel lists every validation issue:
  • Errors must be fixed before publishing. Use the per-step blocker counts to jump straight to them.
  • Warnings are informational and won’t block you.
Common errors include a missing Facebook Page, invalid targeting for special ad categories, and a budget below Meta’s minimum.

Launch outcomes

Each publish creates a launch record visible under Recent launches:
StatusWhat to do
PublishedSuccess — all entities created paused. Turn the campaign on in Meta Ads Manager.
PartialSome entities created, some failed (see below).
FailedNothing created — fix the issue and publish again.

Partial launches

A Partial launch means some entities were created in Meta before something failed. Review what already exists in Meta Ads Manager before publishing again, or you may create duplicates. AdLoft blocks a re-publish until you’ve reviewed.

”Already publishing”

Only one publish per draft can run at a time. If you see “This draft is already publishing”, wait for the current launch to finish.

After a successful publish

AdLoft archives the draft and returns you to the Campaigns hub. Your campaign is paused in Meta — switch it on in Meta Ads Manager when you’re ready to spend. Still seeing errors? Contact support with the draft name and the error message.
