The first step of the builder defines the campaign-level controls. Title: Campaign Settings.

Launch target

Choose where this draft goes:
  • New campaign — create a fresh campaign and set all the controls here.
  • Existing campaign — attach this draft to a synced Meta campaign and inherit its campaign-level setup. When you choose this, the campaign-level fields below are hidden because they come from the existing campaign.

Destination

  • Destination account — the brand (read-only).
  • Meta ad account — the linked Meta account, shown with its ID and currency. If none is linked, connect one before publishing.
  • Assigned reviewer — (when your org has more than one member) who should review this draft.
Budget currency, pixels, conversion events, and audiences are all validated against the connected Meta ad account. If the currency shows as unknown, resync the account.

Campaign name

For new campaigns, set a draft title and a naming template built from tokens (Account, Objective, Audience, Date, Platform). A live preview shows the rendered name, and you can Save as template. See Naming & tokens.

Objective

Pick one of three objectives:
ObjectiveUse it for
LeadsInstant forms or website contact flows.
SalesPurchases or other website conversions.
TrafficSending people to your website or landing page.

Special ad categories

Turn this on only if the campaign falls under Meta’s restricted categories — Housing, Employment, Financial, or Issues, elections or politics. Choosing Issues/Elections/Politics requires selecting at least one country.

Budget and delivery

  • Advantage campaign budget — distribute budget across ad sets automatically (recommended; the dry run currently supports this mode).
  • Budget — a daily or lifetime amount in your account currency.
  • Bid strategyHighest volume (recommended), Cost per result goal, or Bid cap.
  • Start date (and end date, required for lifetime budgets).
Cost per result goal and Bid cap currently produce a blocker because the cap amount field isn’t exposed yet. Use Highest volume for now.
Once your campaign settings are valid, continue to Ad sets.
