After you start a run, AdLoft opens the generating screen (/dashboard/campaigns/ai-builder/{runId}) and works in the background.

The generating screen

While a run is in progress you’ll see:
  • A note that generation runs in the background — you can leave and return.
  • A live “thinking” line showing the current agent and what it’s doing (for example, “Step 3 of 7: Targeting”).
  • An overall progress bar (generation typically takes 3–5 minutes).
  • A grid of all seven agents showing which are pending, active, complete, or failed.
The screen refreshes automatically.

Run statuses

StatusMeaning
QueuedCreated and about to start.
RunningAgents are executing.
CompletedDone — your draft is ready.
FailedA step hit a terminal error (credits are refunded).
CancelledYou cancelled it.
InterruptedA step stalled and the run can be resumed for free.

When it completes

A completed run opens an editable campaign draft and shows an AI strategy summary with:
  • The objective, strategies, and lookback window used.
  • The campaign rationale and key bullet points.
  • The creative selection and per-ad-set hypotheses, audiences, optimization goals, and budgets.
From there, edit anything in the four-step builder and publish through the normal review and publish flow.
AI choices are starting points, not lock-in. Every field stays editable in the regular campaign builder.

Cancel a run

While a run is queued or running, you can cancel it. AdLoft stops the workflow and settles your credits, refunding the portion that wasn’t used.

Resume or start over

If a run failed or was interrupted, the screen offers:
  • Resume — picks up from the last completed step.
  • Start over — returns you to setup for a fresh run.
Resuming a failed run re-charges the quote (the failed run was already refunded). Resuming an interrupted run is free, since it was never refunded.

Common errors

AI Launch shows a specific message when something goes wrong. Examples:
  • Landing page unreachable — check the URL and try again.
  • Gateway rate-limited or timed out — try resuming in a few minutes.
  • No creative assets — add at least one image or video to the brand, then try again.
  • Not launch-ready — open the draft to fix the highlighted settings.
Most non-retryable errors refund your credits automatically. See Credits.
