# Attribution

> Choose the click and view windows AdLoft uses when syncing Meta performance data.

Attribution settings control the windows AdLoft uses when it pulls conversion data from Meta. They determine how conversions are credited back to your ads.

<Info>
  Attribution settings are **organization-wide** — they apply to every brand and ad account. (Goals and launch defaults, by contrast, are set per brand.)
</Info>

## Where to set it

On **Workspace → Accounts** (`/dashboard/ad-accounts`), expand **Attribution settings**. This requires the **owner** or **admin** role and an active Meta connection.

## Available windows

**Click-through attribution**

| Option                    | Meaning                                               |
| ------------------------- | ----------------------------------------------------- |
| 1-day click               | Conversions within 1 day of a click                   |
| **7-day click** (default) | Conversions within 7 days of a click — Meta's default |
| 28-day click              | Conversions within 28 days of a click                 |

**View-through attribution**

| Option                   | Meaning                                             |
| ------------------------ | --------------------------------------------------- |
| Off                      | No view-through attribution                         |
| **1-day view** (default) | Conversions within 1 day of a view — Meta's default |
| 7-day view               | Conversions within 7 days of a view                 |

The default is **7-day click + 1-day view**, matching Meta's standard.

## Applying changes

Choose your windows and click **Save attribution settings**. A live preview shows what the next sync will use (for example, "7-day click + 1-day view").

<Warning>
  Changes apply to **future syncs only**. If you change the window, AdLoft re-pulls historical data under the new setting on the next sync, so your reported numbers may shift to match the new attribution.
</Warning>

Each sync records the attribution windows it used, and the sync card displays them so you always know how the current data was credited.
