# Create your account

> Sign up, verify your email, and secure your account with optional two-factor authentication.

You can create an AdLoft account with email and password or with Google. Email verification is required before you can finish signing in.

## Sign up

Go to the **Sign up** page and choose one of two options:

* **Continue with Google** — sign up with your Google account in one click (available when Google sign-in is enabled for your workspace).
* **Email** — enter your full name, email, password, and a confirmation.

Passwords must be **at least 8 characters**, and the password and confirmation must match.

<Tip>
  Every plan starts with a **7-day free trial** and full platform access — no card is required to begin setup.
</Tip>

## Verify your email

After you sign up, AdLoft sends a verification link to your inbox (subject: **"Verify your AdLoft email"**). Open it to finish setup and personalize your workspace.

On the confirmation screen you can:

* **Resend verification email** if it didn't arrive (check your spam folder too).
* **Use a different email** if you typed the wrong address.

<Warning>
  Email verification is mandatory — you can't complete sign-in until your email is verified. Unverified accounts that are abandoned are automatically removed after about **7 days**.
</Warning>

## Log in

On the **Log in** page, sign in with Google or with your email and password. If you have two-factor authentication enabled, you'll be asked for a verification code next.

<Note>
  There is currently no self-serve password reset. If you signed up with email and need to change your password, do it from **Settings → Profile → Login methods** while signed in. If you can't access your account, [contact support](/support/contact).
</Note>

## Two-factor authentication (2FA)

AdLoft supports email-based two-factor authentication for an extra layer of security.

<Steps>
  <Step title="Open 2FA setup">
    Go to **Settings → Profile → Login methods** and choose **Set up 2FA**.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Send a code">
    AdLoft emails you a 6-digit verification code (subject: **"Your AdLoft verification code"**).
  </Step>

  <Step title="Enter the code">
    Type the six digits from your email. Codes expire after a short window. You can optionally check **Trust this device for 30 days** to skip 2FA on that device.
  </Step>
</Steps>

When 2FA is enabled, you'll enter a code each time you log in (unless the device is trusted).

## Connect Google later

If you signed up with email, you can link Google as an additional sign-in method anytime from **Settings → Profile → Login methods → Connect Google**. Either method then signs you into the same account.
